Kline Named to All-Region Team

Kelly Kline Junior Kelly Kline of the Muhlenberg softball team was selected to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-East Region team for the second straight year.

Kline was voted to the third team after earning first-team honors last season. She is the second Mule since 2000 to receive all-region recognition twice.

Kline led Muhlenberg to a school-record 31 wins and the Centennial Conference regular-season title by hitting .412 with six home runs and 42 RBI. She led the Mules in all those categories as well as hits (56), slugging percentage (.603) and on-base percentage (.484). She also scored 33 runs (second on the team), stole nine bases and walked twice as many times as she struck out (22-11).

A second-team All-CC selection, Kline led the league in RBI and total bases (82) and was second in home runs and third in hits and walks.

During the season, Kline extended her school record for career home runs (21) while becoming the program’s all-time leader in extra-base hits (53) and RBI (118). Click here for a breakdown of Kline’s record ribbies.
