He was named Most Outstanding Performer of Centennial Conference Championships after setting a meet record and winning the javelin by almost 25 feet.

The two-time CC javelin champion and two-time CC athlete of the week broke the 11-year-old school record of 196-7 in his first meet of the year and raised the standard to 214-5 by season’s end. Bauer also was one of only four Division III athletes to place at the IC4A Championships, coming in eighth.

This is the fifth straight year that the Muhlenberg men’s track and field team has produced an Academic All-District selection. The only school in the Mules’ district with a longer active streak is Carnegie Mellon. Bauer is the fourth member of the Muhlenberg men’s track and field team to earn Academic All-District honors following his sophomore year.
