Darin Thomas - Director of Strength and Conditioning

Darin Thomas is now the current day Director of Strength and Conditioning of Muhlenberg College and has immediately put his numerous years of D-1 coaching experience into affect for the Mules. He is implemented strength training, nutrition, and conditioning programs for individual athletes and teams, using various strength and conditioning modalities.

Darin graduated from State University of New York, College at Cortland in 1996 with a master’s degree in physical education.  In 1996 he was the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at University of Richmond.

In 1997 he became the Director of Strength and Conditioning until 2005. Where he designed and implemented strength and conditioning programs for the athletic teams.

In 2005 Coach Thomas brought his knowledge and experience to South Bend where he worked at Notre Dame. In the Department of Physical Education where he instructed components of wellness, cardio respiratory endurance, muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, weight management, nutrition, and stress management. He also developed Strength and Conditioning programs for the Men's and Women's Notre Dame Rugby Club.

  • Former assistant football/strength coach at Windsor Central School located in New York.

Professional Certifications

  • Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
  • Certified as a United State Weightlifting Federation Level 1 Club Coach.
  • CPR/AED and First Aid Certified (American Red Cross)

Andrew Pile - Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach

Andrew Pile‌Andrew Pile Pile is a 2013 graduate of Limestone (S.C.) College, where he was a four-year starter at setter and right-side hitter for the volleyball team. At Muhlenberg, he has been working  as an assistant strength and conditioning coach for 2 years.  He works with the women's fall sports teams during their off season and also coaches the Muhlenberg women's volleyball team where he made an immediate impact to the program.  Apart from Muhlenberg athletics, he also coaches speed and agility for a club volleyball team in the Lehigh Valley.


Anna-Kate DePaolo - Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach

Anna-Kate DePaoloAnna-Kate DePaolo graduated from Indiana University of PA in may 2014 where she majored in exercise science.  She was an intern at St. Francis University (Division I) in Loretto, PA during the spring of 2014.  She has a big background with Soccer, including her four-year soccer career at Indiana University in Pennsylvania.  She now is an assistant strength and conditioning coach and assistant women's soccer coach at Muhlenberg College.

Liz Beville - Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach

Liz BevilleLiz Beville joined the Muhlenberg staff in 2014 following a four-year career at Division III powerhouse Cortland State. Beville played midfield for Red Dragon squads that compiled a record of 84-7 and reached the NCAA "Final Four" all four years. She served as a team captain in 2014, when Cortland was ranked No. 1 in the country for five weeks.

Beville coached several Orange Crush girls lacrosse teams in her home state of New York and was a volunteer assistant coach with the Jamesville DeWitt Simmons lacrosse team in the summer of 2011. She served as a counselor at summer camps at Cortland and Colgate University throughout her collegiate career.


Tom Crimeni - Student Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach

Tom CrimeniTom Crimeni, part of the Class of 2016 at Muhlenberg, studies accounting and finance. He is a former Muhlenbrg football player, and now works as a strength and conditioning intern, which he has been doing for 3 years.  He does a lot of work with the sports teams here while they prepare for their seasons.

  


Andy Bolton - Student Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach

 Andy BoltonAndy Bolton, Class of 2018 at Muhlenberg, studies Business.  Bolton does most of his work as a student assistant strenght and conditioning coach by helping prepare the sports teams for their seasons.
