Two Muhlenberg wrestlers came within one win of placing at the Messiah Petrofes Invitational.
Senior Keith Swanson (top right) went 4-2 at 149. After dropping a 3-1 decision to the eighth seed in the second round, he won his first three bouts in the consolation bracket, the last two
on pins. Swanson, who also pinned his first opponent in 50 seconds, then dropped a 7-2 decision in the consolation quarterfinals.
Sophomore Tommy Gazza came up one win short at 133, splitting four matches for the second straight tournament.
Junior John Sternlicht (bottom right) pinned an opponent in 15 seconds in the 157-pound consolation bracket.
