Katy Rossino and Kimberly Mui The Muhlenberg women’s basketball team remains in the top 20 in both national Division III polls.

The Mules (14-2) are ranked 18th by D3hoops.com and 15th in the poll released by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association. They were 14th in both last week but fell after losing to Johns Hopkins.

Muhlenberg was ranked 20th in the D3hoops.com preseason poll and has stayed in the top 20 all season, climbing as high as No. 9 two weeks ago. Muhlenberg is one of 11 teams that has been ranked in the top 20 in the preseason poll and all eight regular-season rankings.

The Mules probably would have fallen out of the rankings if not for an incredible comeback win on Saturday. Down by 14 points at halftime and 17 points a minute into the second half, they came back to defeat Washington, 60-57. For the seniors on the team, it was their third road comeback from at least 15 points down. Katy Rossino (at left in picture) and Kimberly Mui (right) are two of the seniors who rank the three comebacks today in The MuhlBox.

It is another important week for the Mules. Tomorrow, they host Haverford, the only team to have defeated Johns Hopkins this season. On Saturday, Muhlenberg travels to Baltimore for a rematch with Johns Hopkins, which is receiving votes in both polls.
