Liddic, Chili Named CC Players of the Week

Alexandra Chili Spencer Liddic Over the weekend, seniors Spencer Liddic and Alexandra Chili reached some impressive milestones for the Muhlenberg men’s and women’s basketball teams.

Today, they were both honored as Centennial Conference players of the week.

Liddic averaged 20.5 points and 11.5 rebounds while shooting 60.0 percent from the field to help the Mules go 2-0 on the week and pick up his third player of the week award of the season.

He had 27 points and 11 rebounds vs. Swarthmore on Wednesday and 14 points and 12 boards in the upset of No. 8 Franklin & Marshall on Saturday.

The 12 rebounds against the Diplomats moved him into a tie for the CC career record with 947. He also tied the all-time double-doubles mark with the 41st of his career.

Chili picked up her second player of the week award of the season after averaging 23.5 points while shooting 57.9 percent (11-19) from 3-point range last week. She scored 19 points in only 20 minutes vs. Swarthmore on Wednesday and poured in 28 against F&M on Saturday.

With 11 threes on the week, Chili moved her career total to 309, the most ever by a CC player (male or female). She is just the 15th female player in Division III history to make 300 threes.
