Women's Basketball Up to No. 12 in Division III

women's basketball Two wins and a loss moved the Muhlenberg women’s basketball team up a spot to No. 12 in the D3hoops.com national poll.

The Mules, ranked 13th the last two weeks, defeated DeSales (66-60) and Bryn Mawr (115-43) last week in their last two games before final exams. Greensboro, which had been ranked No. 12, lost to Piedmont and fell to No. 22.

The ranking is the highest for the Mules since they climbed as high as No. 9 during the 2009-10 season.

After losing to Muhlenberg, DeSales went on to defeat Kean, which received 34 votes in last week’s poll.

Off to an 8-0 start for the second year in a row, the Mules play at Albright in their final non-conference game of the year on Saturday before heading home for the holidays.

Muhlenberg leads the Centennial Conference in scoring average (81.9 points per game), scoring margin (21.2 points per game), field-goal percentage (.411), three-point field-goal percentage (.389), three-pointers made per game (7.0), assists per game (16.0), steals per game (13.8), turnover margin (11.3 per game) and offensive rebounds per game (18.4).
