Liddic Named Player of the Week
Monday, December 19, 2011|
Liddic scored 30 points in the Mules’ lone game of the week, an 83-78 home win against Drew. He was 11-of-17 from the field and 8-of-10 from the line.
Liddic also pulled down nine rebounds and recorded one assist, which led to the Play of the Week.
The 30-point game was the third for Liddic, who scored 35 against Washington College and 32 against Gallaudet last year. Only three players in program history have more 30-point efforts: Ned Rahn (10 between 1967 and 1970), Bob McClure (5, 1968-71) and Mark Lesko (5, 1999-2002).
Liddic moved past Lesko and into eighth place on Muhlenberg’s all-time scoring list with 1,413 career points. He also moved to within 100 of the CC’s all-time rebounding record.
Liddic leads the CC in rebounding (13.6 per game) and also is fourth in points per game (19.2) and eighth in field-goal percentage (.531).
The Mules are off to an 8-2 start, their best record after 10 games in 43 years.
