Athletics: Women's Lacrosse
Women's lacrosse at Muhlenberg evolved from a popular and successful club team organized in 1980, earning varsity status in 1984. The program has had its most successful seasons in the last 11 years, winning a school-record 11 games in 2008 and between eight and 10 every other year but one between 2003 and 2010. Prior to 2003, the Mules had never won more than seven games in a season.
The Mules qualified for the Centennial Conference playoffs for the first time in 2008. In 2009, they had their best CC record ever (6-3) and finished in third place behind two national semifinalists.
From 2005 to 2010, Muhlenberg reeled off a 31-game winning streak against non-conference opponents. Mule players have earned all-conference status 48 times and all-regional honors 15 times. Muhlenberg sent a representative to the Division III North-South All-Star Game in four consecutive seasons from 1996 to 1999 and again in 2008.
