History:

Women's lacrosse at Muhlenberg evolved from a popular and successful club team organized in 1980, earning varsity status in 1984. The Muhlenberg women's lacrosse program has had its most successful seasons in the last dozen years, winning a school-record 11 games in 2008 and between eight and 10 every other year but three between 2003 and 2014. Prior to 2003, the Mules had never won more than seven games in a season.

The Mules qualified for the Centennial Conference playoffs for the first time in 2008. In 2009, they had their best CC record ever (6-3) and finished in third place behind two national semifinalists. The 2014 team earned a CC playoff berth and received votes in the national Division III poll.

From 2005 to 2010, Muhlenberg reeled off a 31-game winning streak against non-conference opponents. Mule players have earned all-conference status 53 times and all-regional honors 17 times. Muhlenberg sent a representative to the Division III North-South All-Star Game in four consecutive seasons from 1996 to 1999 and again in 2008.
