The Muhlenberg College volleyball program reached double figures in wins in 19 straight seasons from 1991 to 2009 and, from 1991 to 1995, became the first sport in school history to post five consecutive 20-win seasons. The 1999 and 2001 teams returned to the 20-win plateau, with the latter squad tying for first place in the Centennial Conference and earning the right to host the CC Tournament.
The 1992 team set a school record (broken after 20 years in 2013) for most wins by any sport with a 27-6 record and qualified for the Middle Atlantic Conference playoffs after winning the Southeast Division championship. The Mules won tournament championships at Wesleyan in 1991 and 1994 and at Cedar Crest in 1992 and 1993. Muhlenberg won its own Buttermaker Tournament championship every year from 1998 to 2001.
In the last 20 seasons, Muhlenberg has had one All-American, two all-region selections, 34 all-conference players, 39 Academic Honor Roll selections and one Academic All-American.
