Family Weekend Events

Friday, 11/1 - Shabbat Services (5:30PM-6:30PM - Hillel House)
Traditional/Equalitarian service in room 105 and Reform service in room 107.

Friday, 11/1 - Shabbat Dinner (6:30PM-8PM - Seegers Union)
Following services, a number of Shabbat dinners will be held in 111-113 Seeger's Union. We ask for all who would like to attend to go through the dining lines in Wood Dining Commons and then come to hte rooms in Seegers'. All of the dining lines in the ocmmons will be available including the Kosher lines, the Noshery North and South. In each room we will have grapde juice and challah and we will say Kiddush as a community.

Saturday, 11/2 - Morning Services (various locations)
Sons of Israel, an Orthodox synagogue, is very close to campus at 2715 W. Tilghman St. A group of students go to "Sons" every Shabbat and they are hosting a special Kiddush on Saturday for Family Weekend.
Temply Beth El, a conservative synagogue, has services at 9AM and is located at 1305 Springhouse Rd.

Saturday, 11/2 - Torah Study and Havdalah (5PM-7PM - Hillel House)
Torah study, led by Interim Director/Jewish Chaplain Jeremy Brochin and students, will take place from 5PM-5:45Pm and the open house/reception will begin at 5:45Pm and end with Havdalah at 6:45PM.

Sunday, 11/3 - Bagel Brunch (10AM-12PM - Hillel House)
We are looking forward to greeting many of you at the brunch. Performing at the brunch will be the Muhlenberg Chamber Singers wunder the direction of Michael Schnack, the Director of Choral activities at Muhlenberg. They will be performing a short set of harmony jazz pieces written by Jewish composers: Irving Berlin, George Gershwin, Harold Arlen, and others.
