Candlelight Carols

Religious Life at Muhlenberg College

The Egner Memorial Chapel and the Department of Music are proud to present the very popular Advent Candlelight Carols Service adapted from the Festival of Lessons and Carols of King’s College, Cambridge University in England.

Each year, the College Community gathers in the Chapel for three candlelight services to mark the season of Advent.  The service features scripture readings by students, faculty and staff, alumni, and friends of the college. Traditional Christmas music is sung and played by the the College Choir, the Chamber Singers, the Handbell Choir, featured student musicians and the congregation.

Students and staff participate in a variety of ways, including readers, ushering, torchbearers and crucifers.
