The College Housing Lease does not cover break or vacation periods and College Housing is closed during the following breaks:
Early Arrival for Start of Academic Year (August):
Requests Due: Friday, August 5th
Fall Break:
Approvals Out By: Friday, September 30th
Fall Break Begins on October 7th, 2011
Residence Halls Close at 6 P.M. on Friday Evening
Fall Break Ends on October 11th, 2011
Residence Halls Open at 10 A.M. on Tuesday Morning
Thanksgiving Break:
Requests Due: Monday, November 14th
Approvals Out By: Wednesday, November 16th
Thanksgiving Break Begins on November 22nd, 2011
Residence Halls Close at 6 P.M. on Tuesday Evening
Thanksgiving Break Ends on November 27th, 2011
Residence Halls Open at 10 A.M. on Sunday Morning
Winter Break:
Requests Due: Tuesday, December 6th
Approvals Out By: Thursday, December 8th
Winter Break Begins on December 17th, 2011
Residence Halls Close at 10 A.M. on Saturday Morning
Winter Break Ends on January 15th, 2012

Spring Break:
Requests Due: Monday, February 20th
Approvals Out By: Wednesday, February 22nd
Spring Break Begins on March 2nd, 2012
Residence Halls Close at 6 P.M. on Friday Evening
Spring Break Ends on March 11th, 2012
Residence Halls Open at 10 A.M. on Sunday Morning
Easter Break:
Requests Due: Monday, March 26th
Approvals Out By: Wednesday, March 28th
Easter Break Begins on April 5th, 2012
Residence Halls Close at 6 P.M. on Thursday Evening
Easter Break Ends on April 9th, 2012
Residence Halls Open at 10 A.M. on Monday Morning
End of the Academic Year Closing (May)
Requests Due: Friday, May 4th
College Housing Closes on May 12th, 2012
Residence Halls Close at 10 A.M. on Saturday
Break Policy Information:
College Housing closes at 6:00 pm on the day that the break begins and re-opens at 10:00 A.M. on the day that the break ends. Students who fail to leave on time or return early without prior permission will be charged $50.
We recognize that some students may require housing during the break periods. Students in the following categories are generally granted permission to stay on campus during breaks:
1. International Students
2. Students who live more than 300 miles from campus
3. Students with an academic related situation (i.e. student teaching, internship, etc.)
4. Student Groups such as athletes or those involved in theater productions that have been granted permission through a coach or director of a theater production
End of the Academic Year Policy Information:
College Housing closes at 10:00 A.M. on the day after the last day of final exams. We recognize that some students may require housing after the closing time. Students in the following categories are generally granted permission to stay on campus after closing.
1. International Students
2. Students who live more than 300 miles from campus
3. Students with an academic related situation (i.e. student teaching, internship, etc.) with endorsement from a Faculty member
4. Student Groups such as athletes that have been granted permission through a coach
5. Students working for a College Office during senior week that have been granted permission through a campus department
Start of the Academic Year/Early Arrival Policy Information:
We recognize that some students may require housing before the official opening to the Academic Year. Students in the following categories are generally granted permission to return early to campus.
1. International Students
2. Students who live more than 300 miles from campus
3. Students with an academic related situation (i.e. student teaching, internship, etc.) with endorsement from a Faculty member
4. Student Groups such as athletes that have been granted permission through a coach (NOTE: Athletic teams do not need to fill out this form. Your coach will file a request for you.
Students in the above categories may return to college housing free of charge.
All students (including those in the above categories) who want to request to stay for any portion of the above listed breaks, return early, or after closing must fill out a Request Form in the Office of Residential Services. Late request are subject to a $30.00 late fee.

Ride Board gives you the opportunity to communicate with other Muhlenberg students regarding transportation arrangements -- via an online campus-wide posting system. Through the Ride Board you will be able to add and maintain Ride Requests, add and maintain Ride Offers, search for Campus-wide Ride Requests or Offers, and respond to Campus-wide Ride Requests or Offers.
