The Henry Melchior Muhlenberg Society (HMMS) was founded in 1967 to recognize a very special group of Muhlenberg leaders. Each year, alumni, parents and friends who share a commitment to Muhlenberg’s growing distinction join HMMS by making a leadership gift of $1,500 or more.
Members of the Henry Melchior Muhlenberg Society are invited to attend the HMMS Reunion/Homecoming Reception each year. You'll also receive College updates from the president and a listing in various publications.

The Circle of 1848 recognizes persons who have included philanthropic support of Muhlenberg College as part of their estate planning. To date, more than 400 alumni, parents, friends, faculty and staff have made a bequest provision for the College through their will; made Muhlenberg an ultimate beneficiary of their retirement plan; created a life income gift agreement; or have made some other planned gift arrangement that benefits the College.
In addition to the satisfaction of helping Muhlenberg students, members receive a lapel pin, the Society's publications, listings in various College publications and invitations to annual events of recognition including the annual Advent Carol Service and a Summer Theatre event.

Created in 2007, Muhlenberg’s Lifetime Giving Society boasts more than 250 members, including alumni, parents, friends, foundations, corporations, organizations and churches, and was created “in recognition of these friends and benefactors who are committed to the same philosophies and ideals as the founders and who, through their foresight and generosity, seek to ensure that the highest quality of education will be available for future generations,” as is listed on the head piece of each plaque display in the Haas College Center Rotunda.
Members of Muhlenberg's Lifetime Giving Society are invited to the annual Lifetime Giving Society Dinner where new members and members who have moved up in levels are publicly recognized. In addition, your name will be added to the Lifetime Giving Society plaques on display in the Haas College Center Rotunda and you will be listed in various publications.
