College Statement about Education Abroad in the Middle East

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – (December 4, 2012) -- The safety of our students on campus and abroad is always our highest priority.  Given the recent turmoil in Gaza, Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, and elsewhere in the Middle East, the College's Office of Global Education has decided to review on a case-by-case basis student participation in semester-long programs during the spring 2013 semester. Students who are eligible to study abroad and wish to participate in credit-bearing, semester-long programs in this area should seek advice from the Office of Global Education. This policy does not govern short-term credit  and non-credit-bearing programs, which are left to the discretion of individuals and trip leaders.
