Class of 2000
Fairfax County Public Schools
typical day: It's a challenge to describe my typical day. For the past couple of years, I have been working as a school librarian. Right now, I'm at a brand new secondary school that just opened this year. As a librarian, every day is different because every patron and every class comes in with different questions and projects. I'm always learning something new about obscure (and admittedly sometimes not so obscure) topics as I teach my students. On weekends I work at one of the local public libraries which also keeps me on my toes. In the fall, I'll be starting work on my M.A. in history, with the hopes of being a university librarian or eventually going on for a Ph.D. to teach.

exciting news: In December of 2003, I earned my Masters degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh.

insights: It's amazing to me how our goals can change so quickly. If anyone had told me when I was at Muhlenberg that I'd be a school librarian I never would have believed them. As each year goes by, I keep my memories of Muhlenberg close and I hope that each new class that enters and graduates from the 'Berg find their time there as special.
