BRIAN TETA
Class of 1998
Talent Coordinator / Late Show with David Letterman

bteta@cbs.com
typical day: I start my day in a production meeting, where we go over the day's show segment by segment. Following that, we conduct a talent meeting where we look over our calendar and discuss prospective bookings. In my job as Talent Coordinator I am responsible for booking sports stars, human interest guests, authors, and television personalities for the Late Show. I also produce the show's "Stupid Human and Pet Trick" segments and many of the outdoor remotes on 53rd street.

I spend the majority of my day speaking with agents and publicists, receiving pitches and looking for bookings for the show. In the afternoon I meet and greet my guests and help prep them to sit down with Dave for their interview! I travel quite a bit, attending sporting events, conducting "Stupid Trick" auditions and producing remote "Top Ten Lists". As with most of the Late Show staff, I occasionally appear on air... so far the highlight has been the segment where I "Put away the Late Show Bear"...you kind of had to see it.

exciting news: I got married in Hilton Head, South Carolina on September 25th, 2004 to Heather Austin, who is an Associate Producer for ABC Television. We are currently living in Manhattan with our Chocolate Lab puppy Cocoa. As part of my job at Late Show I have been lucky enough to attend (and be on the field!) at the Super Bowl, World Series, and NBA Finals. Last summer I visited Athens, Grecce for the Summer Olympics and this February I am getting ready to travel to Torino, Italy for the 2006 Winter Olympics. For the last two years the Late Show has been nominated for an Emmy Award and I have attended the ceremony in Los Angeles which has been a real thrill.
