The internship (an approved, faculty-supervised, off-campus experience in the communication field)
does not count toward the major but does count toward general graduation requirements. Students may complete up to four internships
for credit, faculty-supervised internships.
960.Communication Internship
Designed to provide both an educational experience and an opportunity
to work with professionals in practical preparation for a career, the
Internship includes an academic (written and/or production)
component. Under faculty supervision, students will serve as interns with
newspapers, television and radio stations, advertising agencies, public
relations firms, publishers, and health, environmental, sports, and human
and public service organizations. Students must have completed the sophomore
year. Prerequisites: Com 201 and Com 231, and permission of the instructor.
