MARK ANDREJEVIC
Reality TV: Surveillance, Voyeurism, and the Appeal of the Real

Mark Andrejevic is Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Studies, University of Iowa. He is also a former journalist who studied economics (at Williams College) and journalism (at the University of Michigan) before receiving a Ph.D. in media studies in 2001 from the University of Colorado, Boulder. His work focuses on critical approaches to the media, and he has written several articles and book chapters on topics including interactive media, surveillance, digital art, and reality TV. He is the author of Reality TV: The Work of Being Watched (Rowman & Littlefield: 2004).
