Historian
- Muhlenberg College is building its strength in
the arts with a new faculty line in Art History.
We seek a specialist in modern/contemporary art
who also has the ability to teach Asian or
African art history courses for a tenure-track,
assistant professor position beginning with the
2008-09 academic year. Teaching load is 3/3,
with one survey, one 20th c., and one
non-Western course as needed. Applicant must be
able to assume various responsibilities
associated with a small liberal arts college,
including working closely with students,

PUBLIC RELATIONS
Sports Information Intern
- Muhlenberg College seeks applicants for the
full-time position of Sports Information Intern
for the 2008-09 school year. This is a 10-month
position starting August 1, 2008 and ending May
31, 2009.
The intern will assist the Sports Information
Director with publicity efforts for the
College’s 22-sport Division III varsity
intercollegiate program. Primary
responsibilities will include: designing and
writing brochures, game programs and
newsletters; updating the College Web site;
reporting results to local and regional media;
assisting with game day operations and compiling
team statistics and records. Bachelor’s degree,
strong writing and communication skills and a
solid understanding of sports and sports
statistics are required. Also required is a
willingness to work nights and weekends.
Previous experience in sports information and
knowledge of desktop publishing and HTML are
preferred.
The intern will be paid $7.90 per hour (expected
gross earnings are approximately $1,365 per
month.) based on timesheets submitted bi-weekly,
and will be eligible to health insurance
benefits. Valid US work

Sociology and Anthropology Department at

including Social Movements. While the department
expects faculty to be actively engaged in

WRITING
CENTER– Peer Tutor Coordinator position available in
Muhlenberg College Writing Center. Full-time,
10 month position (mid-August to mid-June) with
full benefits. Salary of $28-$30K/year depending
on experience. Responsible for coordinating
daily activities of the center, including
training and supervision of tutors,
record-keeping and administrative duties.
