Scotty Wood Stadium

Muhlenberg College constructed a state-of-the-art on-campus game and practice facility during the summer of 1998.

The multipurpose stadium includes an AstroTurf® 12 playing field with e-layer pad, an eight-lane all- Scotty Wood
Stadium weather track, bleacher seating for 3,000, lighting and a new scoreboard and press box. The facility, the first of its kind in the Lehigh Valley, is home to the Mule field hockey, football, lacrosse and outdoor track teams.

Dedicated at the 1999 football home opener, the complex bears the name of two of the most beloved figures in Muhlenberg’s athletic history, both of whom were inducted into the Muhlenberg Athletic Hall of Fame in 2002. The stadium is named in honor of the late Milton W. “Scotty” Wood, founder of food service giant Wood Dining Services. The field is named for Frank Marino, who coached football from 1970 to 1980, men’s lacrosse from 1968 to 1977 and volleyball from 1988 to 1995.

Muhlenberg teams enjoy great support and success at Scotty Wood Stadium. The football team has averaged a near-capacity crowd the last nine years en route to a 33-14 home record, while field hockey is 62-25 on the home turf since 1998. The women’s outdoor track and field team won its first conference championship ever at home in 2005.

Scotty Wood Stadium has hosted two Centennial Conference championship track meets, two NCAA Tournament football games and an ECAC playoff game since opening its gates.
