A weekly look at what’s going on in the Centennial Conference:

Field Hockey
Washington remained unbeaten in the CC with a 3-2 win against Swarthmore. Western Maryland dropped its second in a row after an 8-0 start, 1-0 to Gettysburg, and Johns Hopkins snapped a six-game losing streak in a big way, blanking Bryn Mawr, 9-0. Hopkins, the defending CC champion, hosts Washington and travels to Swarthmore this week. Muhlenberg also has a big week, with a home game against Swarthmore and a trip to Gettysburg.

Men’s Soccer
Franklin & Marshall edged Haverford 1-0 to tie Johns Hopkins for first place. The Fords’ loss, combined with 3-0 wins by Gettysburg (against Swarthmore) and Muhlenberg (against Washington), resulted in a three-way tie for third place. Hopkins scored an impressive 4-1 non-CC win against Drew. This week, Haverford travels to Hopkins for a Wednesday game. On Saturday, Muhlenberg goes to Western Maryland, F&M hosts Swarthmore and Gettysburg hosts Ursinus.

Volleyball
The volleyball standings took a surprising turn when Western Maryland, 3-0 entering the week, was swept by both Haverford and Dickinson. Previously, the Green Terror had defeated Muhlenberg, and the Mules turned around and swept Haverford. Muhlenberg has defeated two of the four CC playoff teams from last year and will try to make it 4-for-4 with matches against Franklin & Marshall (Wednesday) and Gettysburg (Saturday) this week.
