Midterm Report Card

With Muhlenberg observing its Fall Break and most teams at or just past the halfway point in their seasons, we asked athletes to grade their team’s performance to date. Tomorrow: Football.

Men’s Cross Country: B

The Mules are ranked sixth in the Mid-Atlantic Region and have two more meets before the Centennial Conference Championships. On Sept. 28, Muhlenberg finished second, behind only

Division II Kutztown and ahead of nine-time CC champion Haverford, at Salisbury’s Tidewater Classic. The NCAA Regional will be run on the same course on Nov. 16.

“I’d give us a B. We have had some good races and great performances, but we have not put everything and everyone together at the same race,” said senior co-captain Robin Holden. “When we put everything together, we will definitely be an A team. Based on how things are going, we have the people and talent, now we just need to put it all together on November 2 and 16.

“November 2 is the Conference meet and we are looking forward to having our best finish ever. The course at Ursinus is tough, but we are preparing for it, and everyone has to run the same course. Our biggest meet of the year is November 16 in Maryland. It is the NCAA regional qualifier and we want to be able to be one of the top three teams and to go to nationals.

“Our team is solid top to bottom, and we are looking forward to great things.”

Women’s Soccer Rained Out

The scheduled women’s soccer game against Franklin & Marshall was postponed by heavy rain. No makeup date has been determined yet.
