Womens Tennis Wraps Up Play at Regional
The three Muhlenberg individuals and teams who went 2-0 on the first day of the ITA Southeast Regional at Mary Washington all lost their first matches on the second day. In the singles main draw, junior Gena Ross, seeded 13th, lost in straight sets to the third-seeded player from Washington & Lee. Ross and junior Mackenzie Parke, seeded sixth as a doubles team, fell in the quarterfinals to a familiar team from Centennial Conference rival Washington, 8-4. In the singles B draw, freshman Stacy Lipschutz was eliminated in the Round of 16 by a Mary Washington player. Lipschutz and classmate Lauren Goldberg were the only Mules to post a win on Sunday, taking an 8-2 match from a Bridgewater duo in the doubles B draw quarterfinals. They defaulted their consolation semifinal match. |
