TWO FOOTBALL PLAYERS IN STATS TOP 10

Two Muhlenberg football players rank in the top 10 in the NCAA Division III statistical leaders through games of last Saturday.

Senior wide receiver/kick returner Kodi Shay is in the top 10 in two categories: He is second in kickoff returns (35.3 yards per return) and third in all-purpose yardage (219.5 yards per game). Shay also ranks 13th in receiving yards per game (112.2) and 15th in punt returns (14.7 yards per return).

Sophomore defensive end Daniel McCall is eighth in sacks (1.5 per game) and 16th in tackles for loss (2.3 per game).

As a team, the Mules are 21st in rushing defense (95.3 yards per game), 24th in scoring defense (13.8 points per game) and 28th in total defense (265.7 yards per game)

Jacobs Selected for All-Star Game

Senior midfielder Lauren Jacobs of the Muhlenberg field hockey team has been selected to participate in the 2003 NFHCA Division III Lauren Jacobs North/South Senior All-Star Game.

This year’s game will be held on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2003, at 10:00 a.m. on the campus of Lebanon Valley College.

Jacobs, one of 19 players selected for the South Squad, was named to the All-Centennial Conference second team last year. She is tied for fourth in team history with 13 career assists, including three this season.
