Men’s Soccer Falls to No. 10 E-town

The Muhlenberg men’s soccer team lost a tough match to tenth-ranked Elizabethtown, 1-0, snapping the Mules’ three-game winning streak.

The Mules (9-3) outshot and outcornered the Blue Jays and controlled play for much of the second half, but could not solve keeper Michael Ciattei, who had four saves.

Brian Healy scored the game’s lone goal in the 24th minute for Elizabethtown (9-1-1).

The Muhlenberg women’s soccer team has found the way to win in the Centennial Conference: Don't give up any goals.

The Mules (8-3-1, 4-1) won their fourth straight game, all CC matchups, by shutout as they defeated Bryn Mawr, 4-0, at the Owls’ Applebee Field. Muhlenberg has not allowed a goal since the 20th minute of its Sept. 20 loss to McDaniel, a span of 430 minutes.

The Mule defense held the Owls (2-6-1, 0-4) to eight shots and one corner kick and four goalkeepers shared the shutout.

The Mules found the net four times in the first half. Freshman Alicia Kutner scored her first collegiate goal. Senior forward Dawn Iberer added two scores to take the team lead with seven goals and 17 points. Senior Courtney Levine scored the first ’Berg goal and assisted on Iberer’s second.

Levine has notched a point in four consecutive games and is third on the team with 14. She leads the Mules with four assists and is third with five goals. Iberer has tallied points in each of the last three games.
