Muhlenberg senior offensive tackle Chris Radomski has been selected to play for the American Football Coaches Association's Division III all-star team that will represent the United States against

the Mexican National Team in the 2003 Aztec Bowl on Dec. 13 in Cancun, Mexico.

Radomski, a two-time selection to the All-Centennial Conference first team, has been a three-year starter for Muhlenberg. The Mules averaged 33 points and 373 yards per game over the last three years and won a share of the CC championship each season.

“I’m absolutely excited and honored,” said Radomski, who was quick to point out that many of his teammates had equally outstanding seasons. “I hope I can represent Muhlenberg College and all my teammates well.”

This is the third time in four years that Muhlenberg will be represented in the game. Kicker Chris Reed played in last year’s game in Torreon, and offensive lineman John Schoeller played the in 2000 Aztec Bowl in Merida.

The U.S. team will consist of 42 NCAA Division III seniors from around the country. Former Central (Iowa) College Head Coach Ron Schipper will coach the team for the seventh consecutive year.

This year’s game is scheduled to kick off at 5 p.m. on Dec. 13 at Estadio Cancun 86.

The Aztec Bowl is the traditional season-ending game for Mexico’s college football season. The game has been played 29 times since 1947 with the last six contests featuring the United States-Mexico match-up. The United States has won all six, including a 15-9 contest last year.

A live webcast of the game and 90-minutes preview shows at 7:30 on Dec. 10, 11 and 12 will be available at the Web sites of the AFCA, The Aztec Bowl, the Texas Sports Radio Network and D3football.com. Postgame results will also be available at www.afca.com.
