Scores Twice in Loss to Ursinus
Kristen Bruschi

The two goals moved Bruschi into sole possession of second place on the Centennial Conference all-time lists for goals (59) and points (134).

Senior Kristen Bruschi has been selected to represent the Muhlenberg field hockey team at the National Field Hockey Coaches Association All-Star Game.

Bruschi was named to the 19-member South Squad that will take on the North at Westfield State College in Westfield, Mass., on Saturday, Nov. 20.

Bruschi was tied for 12th in Division III with 14 goals when she was chosen. She added two more against Ursinus, the fourth-ranked team in the country, but the Mules (8-6, 3-4) suffered their third loss in a row, 5-2.

The Bears (14-1, 8-0) conceded a goal to Muhlenberg in the first five minutes, but reeled off three goals by halftime and two more in the second half before Bruschi capped the scoring.

Muhlenberg joined second-ranked Messiah and No. 14 Lebanon Valley as the only teams to score two goals against Ursinus this year.
