The Muhlenberg men’s soccer team suffered its second consecutive 2-1
loss to a top-10 team, falling at Messiah to drop to 2-3-1 on the season.
The Falcons (6-1) are tied for 10th in Division III. The Mules suffered a 2-1 overtime loss to Johns Hopkins, now ranked fourth, on Saturday. Their other loss this season came at the hands of No. 15 St. Lawrence. Junior James Henshaw scored his fourth goal of the season in the 19th minute to erase a 1-0 Messiah lead, but the Falcons scored the game-winner with just under five minutes left in the first half. Muhlenberg, outshot 8-1 in the first 45, took four shots in the second half but could not get the equalizer. |
