WOMEN’S BASKETBALL TEAM MAKES
TOP 25 ACADEMIC HONOR ROLL
Mule women's basketball in Italy

The Muhlenberg women’s basketball team traveled to Italy in mid-August, combining sightseeing with a pair of games. Although international rules forced the Mules to adjust their pattern of substituting every minute, they managed to split their two games.

The Muhlenberg women’s basketball team, which was the only NCAA squad to average 90 points per game last season, proved that it can score in the 90s in the classroom as well.

The Mules recently were named to the 2003-04 Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA). The honor roll recognizes the nation’s highest team grade point averages for the 2003-04 academic year based upon nominations submitted by WBCA-member head coaches.

GPAs are calculated by dividing the total number of quality points earned by each student-athlete on an institution’s squad list in the given academic terms by the total number of hours earned by the team.

Muhlenberg’s 18-member team combined for a 3.392 GPA last year, good for 24th in Division III.
