school
record for career goals with 44 and Head Coach Megan Eddinger got
her
The Mules scored their first goal midway through the first half when junior Katie Thomas found the back of the goal on an assist from senior Pamela Coakley. The Mules widened the margin just minutes later on a LisaAnn Polt goal assisted by junior Adrienne Verbich. After going up early like that we knew we had to keep pushing because we didnt want to give them a chance to come back, Coakley said. The Mules did just that as Brucshi scored her goal on a breakaway with 13:30 remaining in the game and the defense held the Royals to just two shots in the second half. The Mule defense recorded its first shutout of the season and limited Scranton to five shots. Sophomore goalkeeper Lauren Schram made three saves for Muhlenberg. Our defense played great today, we talked very well and I think Schram did a great job for us in goal, Coakley said.
