Chris Walach In its final match of the fall season, the Muhlenberg men’s golf team had its finest showing, coming in second at the Muhlenberg Fall Invitational.

The tournament, rained out two weeks ago, was played in 50-degree weather and winds that picked up as the hours wore on. But the 11:00 tee time enabled all golfers to finish comfortably ahead of the forecasted rain.

In taking runner-up honors at their own tournament for the third year in a row, the Mules finished ahead of Moravian for the first time in 12 meetings, dating back to the spring of 2004. New Jersey won the tournament for the second time in three years.

Senior Chris Walach tied for fifth overall with an 83, one stroke better than senior Brian Farrelly and junior Patrick Moyle.
