years, in a strong field of 12 teams.

Mills won all four of his bouts, defeating the 2005 Middle Atlantic Conference runner-up in the championship final, for his second career tournament title. His lone previous gold medal came at the 2004 Centennial Conference Championships, although he has four second-place finishes.

One other Muhlenberg wrestler reached a championship final: freshman Billy Hall at 133. Hall stormed through the competition with two major decisions and two pins, before falling in the final to a wrestler from King’s.

Hall was one of several Mule freshmen who enjoyed success in their collegiate debuts. Of the 11 first-year wrestlers to compete, seven returned home with at least one victory. Rob Kein reached the consolation semifinals at 141, and Matt Friedman (133) and Justin Fitch (165) each won a pair of bouts.
