Mount Competes at NCAAs

Mount Makes History

Senior Karen Mount became the first member of the Muhlenberg women’s cross country team to compete in the NCAA Division III Championships, finishing 127th out of 213 runners at the meet hosted by Ohio Wesleyan.

of the Muhlenberg wrestling team both reached the championship finals at the Ursinus Fall Brawl, a non-scoring meet with some tough competition.

In their second meet of the season, the Mules faced wrestlers from two of the top teams in Division III, sixth-ranked New Jersey and ninth-ranked York, as well as Division I Princeton.

In order to end the meet at a reasonable time, the consolation bouts in all brackets were stopped with three rounds to go. Muhlenberg had eight

DeCampo reached his first career tournament final with two major decisions and a tight 7-6 victory. In the all-Centennial Conference final, he suffered a one-point loss to a Stevens Tech wrestler.

Mills reached the final for the second week in a row, and like DeCampo, fell to an opponent from Stevens Tech in a matchup of 2005 CC runners-up. Mills advanced to the title bout with two major decisions and a pin.

Sophomore Brian Saval won his first two bouts at 141 to make the semifinals before bowing out of the competition for medical reasons. (added Nov. 21)
