The Muhlenberg men’s basketball team is scheduled to play an exhibition game against the Israel at Heart select team on Monday, November 7, at 7:00 in Memorial Hall.

The Israel at Heart organization, in conjunction with the men’s basketball team at the Interdisciplinary Center in Herzliya, Israel, is sponsoring a basketball tour of nine games at NCAA Division III colleges in the New York City, Philadelphia, and Washington areas. This is the second consecutive year that Israel at Heart has sponsored a basketball tour, last year taking the team to Boston and New York City area colleges.

The Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) competes in the Israel Academic Sports Association (ASA). ASA also sponsors soccer, swimming and sailing leagues, among other sports. It is the official organization that sends Israeli athletes to the World University Games, held every other summer.

Israel at Heart is sponsoring the trip to promote a better understanding of Israel and its people to American campuses. During the stays at the colleges there will be programs where American students will get to speak to the Israeli student-athletes about day-to-day life in the Holy Land.
