MEN’S SOCCER RANKED 18th
LAURO NAMED PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Julie Lauro Senior Julie Lauro of the Muhlenberg volleyball team has been named Centennial Conference player of the week following her second-straight MVP performance at the Buttermaker Tournament this past weekend.

Lauro averaged 4.50 kills per game during the tournament while adding 10 aces and nine blocks as the Mules went 4-0 en route to capturing the championship. She put up her best numbers in the championship match, recording 17 kills – including the 1,500th of her career – and 14 digs while hitting .371 against Penn State-Altoona.

The Muhlenberg men’s soccer team is ranked 18th in Division III in the new National Soccer Coaches Association of America/adidas poll.

The Mules are off to a 4-0 start for the first time since 1994, winning their four games by a combined 13-2 margin.

This is the highest ranking for Muhlenberg since it was 16th for one week in 2003, a season in which it won the Centennial Conference championship.

The Mules will put their ranking to the test when they host ninth-ranked Johns Hopkins, the defending CC champion, in an early-season showdown on Saturday.
