SALANI WINS PHATTT SPORTSMANSHIP AWARD
Salani won the Sportsmanship Award on a vote of players and coaches for Flight 3, which included fifth and sixth singles players from the four competing schools (Drew, Franklin & Marshall, Haverford and Muhlenberg). The Mules, in their first competition of the year, struggled at the tournament, not winning any matches against players from other schools. Click here for box score. |
Golfers Get a Snow Day
Snow occasionally wreaks havoc with the Muhlenberg mens golf team at the start of the spring season, but this fall the Mules are happy to see it. Freshman Bill Snow shot a 73 in his second collegiate competition to lead Muhlenberg to a fifth-place finish at the Franklin & Marshall Invitational. The Mules were only six strokes out of first place in their best showing since last fall. Snows 73 the lowest score for a Mule freshman since the 2002-03 year was good for fifth place, three strokes off the pace set by two Moravian golfers. Junior Jonathan Harris carded a career-best 78. Senior Brian Farrelly also shot a 78. |
