celebration
The Mules and their fans have plenty to celebrate.
After defeating Johns Hopkins, at the time ranked ninth in Division III, the Muhlenberg men’s soccer team jumped from No. 18 to No. 13 in the latest National Soccer Coaches Association of America/adidas poll.

The Mules, off to a 5-0 start and undefeated in their last 12 games, are ranked second in the Mid-Atlantic Region behind Messiah, the top-ranked team in Division III. Johns Hopkins dropped to third in the region and No. 17 in the nation.

The national ranking is the highest for Muhlenberg since it was ranked 13th early in the 1998 season. That No. 13 proved to be unlucky indeed, as the Mules lost their next five games.

Muhlenberg’s next game is scheduled for Wednesday against DeSales, which is ranked sixth in the region following a 2-0 win against Drew.
