Mens Golf Second Yet Again |
|
BEST SCORE IN SIX YEARS FOR MULES
For the fourth year in a row, the Muhlenberg mens golf team finished second at its own Fall Invtational. On an unseasonably warm day, the Mules shot a 314, their best total at the event since 2000 (the last time they won it), to land four strokes behind Moravian. Nine golfers shot in the 70s, and three of them were from Muhlenberg. Freshman Biff Slocum finished in a three-way tie for second place with a 76, but missed out on a plaque because of tiebreakers. Junior Garrett Carpenter carded a 78, one stroke ahead of sophomore Bill Snow. |
Senior midfielder Mallory DiMaio of the Muhlenberg womens
soccer team has been named offensive co-player of the week by the
Centennial Conference.
DiMaio became the first Mule in four years to score multiple goals in back-to-back games, connecting twice in wins against Cabrini and Bryn Mawr. She scored the first and last goals in a 3-0 Centennial Conference shutout of Bryn Mawr and the middle two in a 4-3 victory at Cabrini. DiMaio leads Muhlenberg and is tied for third in the CC with seven goals. The two wins last week lifted the Mules over the .500 mark at 6-5. |
