Sophomore Rob Kein of the Muhlenberg wrestling team began his 2006-07 on a high note, winning the 141-pound class at the Monarch

Horn pinned his second opponent in 11 seconds, one second off the school record.
Invitational, hosted by King’s.

Kein won all four of his bouts, the first by major decision and the next three by a combined five points. The three close decisions all came against opponents from nationally ranked teams, two from 18th-ranked Wilkes and one from 14th-ranked York. Kein defeated the 2006 Middle Atlantic Conference runner-up in the semifinals.

Sophomore Justin Fitch had a busy day at 174, coming back after dropping his second bout to win five in a row in the consolation bracket to reach the final. He did not wrestle in the final and finished fourth.

Another sophomore, Matt Horn, also finished fourth at 184. Freshman Tucker Grass (125) and sophomore Billy Hall (141) both went 2-2, with Grass losing his second career bout by respectable 8-3 decision to the second-ranked wrestler in Division III.

The Mules were ninth in the team standings.
