The Mules two first-team selections play on opposite sides of the
line. Senior defensive end Chris Musselman (right) led
Muhlenberg and ranks
second in the CC with 8½ sacks, and he is tied for second in the
conference with 12½ tackles for loss. Musselman finished with 37 total
Sophomore center Mike Nolan (left) made the first team in his first season as a starter. One of only two sophomores on the All-CC first team, Nolan was the Mules center after serving as a reserve nose tackle last year. He helped Muhlenberg average 119.6 rushing yards and 20.5 points per game, big improvements from last years marks of 88.3 and 13.8. Three members of the defensive unit made the second team: junior linebackers Tom Tarsitano and Dustin Good and sophomore cornerback Brandon Doyle. Taristano led the Mules with 73 tackles (7½ for loss) and ranks seventh in the CC with 50 tackles in league games. Good totaled 49 tackles and is seventh in the CC with 9½ for loss. Doyle, in addition to recording 35 tackles, two interceptions and five pass breakups, was second in the CC with an average of 25.6 yards on kickoff returns. Senior offensive guard Matthew Sallese and freshman cornerback Cameron Ahouse received honorable mention. Ahouse is the first Muhlenberg freshman to earn All-CC honors since 1999. |
