Haggerty Earns Second Career Honor

Senior Kate Haggerty of the Muhlenberg volleyball team finished her career the way she started it: by earning All-Centennial Conference honors.

Haggerty, who earned All-CC honorable mention as a freshman in 2003 was selected to the second team in 2006. She is the sixth Mule volleyball player to earn All-CC honors twice.

Haggerty led Muhlenberg in kills per game (2.95) and hitting percentage (.254) and was second with 53 blocks. She ended up with 969 career kills, good for fifth in Muhlenberg history.

The Muhlenberg field hockey team had one player from each of its lines named to the All-Centennial Conference team.

Senior forward LisaAnn Polt earned first-team honors. The Mules’ second-leading scorer, she ended the season with a career-high

Polt is the seventh Muhlenberg player to earn first-team All-CC honors in field hockey.
26 points on 11 goals and four assists. Polt tied for third in the CC with seven goals in conference games and finished her career tied for ninth on the program’s all-time scoring list with 59 points.

Junior Lauren Rutt earned second-team honors. The team’s playmaker from her center midfield position, Rutt recorded one goal and four assists on the season. She is tied for ninth in team history with 10 career assists.

Junior back Nikki Rhoads was on the all-conference team for the second year in a row, receiving honorable mention. She contributed three assists, all in CC play, and one defensive save.
