volleyball splits at scranton

The Muhlenberg volleyball team split two matches on the first day of the Scranton Invitational.

The Mules (8-3) defeated Wilkes in four sets before falling to Oneonta State in four.

Junior Brittany Williams (left) recorded kills on all four of her attack attempts in the third set vs. Wilkes as Muhlenberg took a 2-1 lead with a 25-22 victory. The Mules went on to claim the match with a 25-21 decision in the fourth set. Williams made only one error in 21 attempts and tied freshman Jackie Price for the team lead with 10 kills.

Muhlenberg took the first set in its second match, but Oneonta State stormed back to capture the next three. Junior Phylicia Lee led the attack with 13 kills.
