Through games of last weekend, Muhlenberg teams and athletes ranked among the national statistical leaders in four sports.

In field hockey, the Mules were in the top 25 in three defensive categories. As a team, Muhlenberg ranked 18th in goals-against average (1.06). Freshman Kristen Dornenburg was 17th in goals-against average (1.06) and 25th in save percentage (.815). Those numbers took a hit last night when the Mules lost 6-1 to Ursinus, the highest-scoring team in Division III. On the offensive side, senior Tara Cohn was 20th in points per game (2.00).

The football team was in the top 25 in two kicking categories. The Mules ranked 25th in net punting (35.5), and junior Michael Katz was tied for 15th in field goals per game (1.25).

Sophomore Cody Antonini of the men’s soccer team was tied for 15th in goals per game (1.00).

In volleyball, senior Christina Cangelosi was 26th with 5.96 digs per set.
