Torphy Runs at National Meet

Junior Bobby Torphy (middle in picture at left) finished ahead of more than 100 runners at the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships, placing 169th out of 276.

Wrestlers Step Up in Level: The Muhlenberg wrestling team took a step up in competition at the 43rd East Stroudsburg Open, one of the oldest open wrestling tournaments in the nation. Close to 400 wrestlers, the great majority not from Divisions III, competed.

The Mules drew the likes of Maryland, Lehigh, Rutgers and Edinboro in their bouts. Of the eight Muhlenberg wrestlers entered, two (sophomores John Sternlicht and Nick Pallotta picked up a win apiece in their respective consolation brackets.
