Turnovers costly in football loss

first possession of the game, driving 63 yards in eight plays and netting three points on a 17-yard field goal by junior Michael Katz. Early in the
The Colonels scored their first touchdown with a 37-yard run on fourth-and-1 with five minutes left in the third quarter. Muhlenberg drove to the Wilkes 5 on the ensuing possession, but on the first play of the fourth quarter an interception in the end zone foiled the scoring attempt.
Midway through the fourth, Wilkes picked off a pass and returned it 28 yards to the Mule 15. On the next play, the Colonels threw the go-ahead touchdown pass.
Muhlenberg drove into Wilkes territory again on its next possession, only to throw another interception with 1:56 left
The Colonels took an intentional safety with 5 seconds left, and the Mules fumbled the final kickoff.
Dandridge rushed for 120 yards on 29 carries in his first career game. Freshman Justin Kreamer threw for 212 yards on 17-of-30 passing but was intercepted three times.
The Mules outgained the Colonels, 381-261, and had a 10:30 advantage in time of possession. Junior Scott Gavin led the defense with seven tackles.
