It was a rollercoaster season for Muhlenberg, as the Mules won several thrilling games but fell just short of the playoffs.

January 29: Mules welcome Allentown youths
Several Mules celebrated National Girls and Women in Sports Day by teaching inner-city Allentown girls about field hockey.

January 7: Mules did it with defense
Muhlenberg ranked in the top 40 in Division III in four defensive categories.

Cait Teegarden November 22: Five named to Academic Honor Roll
Sophomore Cait Teegarden (left) was one of five Mule field hockey players named to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll for achievement in the classroom and on the field.

November 17: Cohn named all-region
Senior Tara Cohn was a second-team all-region selection.

October 31: No playoffs for Mules
The Mules did not get the help they needed to land in the Centennial Conference playoffs.

October 30: Muhlenberg falls in finale
Needing a win to clinch a Centennial Conference playoff berth, the Mules lost to 13th-ranked Gettysburg, 1-0, in its last scheduled game.

Nicole Fiorentino October 27: Mules win to set up key finale
The Mules shut out Bryn Mawr, 4-0, to remain in the playoff hunt heading into their regular-season finale against nationally ranked Gettysburg. Freshman Nicole Fiorentino (left) assisted on the final goal for her first career point.

October 24: F&M blanks Muhlenberg
The Mules were shut out at Franklin & Marshall, 4-0, in their final road game of the season.

October 21: Muhlenberg shut out at Scranton
In their final non-conference game of the season, the Mules lost 1-0 at Scranton.

Kristen Dornenburg October 19: Dornenburg honored by CC
Freshman Kristen Dornenburg (right) was named defensive player of the week by the Centennial Conference after helping Muhlenberg to a pair of wins.

Nicki Notarianni October 17: Mules upset Hopkins again
Senior Nicki Notarianni (left) scored with 5:17 left in the second overtime to give Muhlenberg a 1-0 win against No. 10 Johns Hopkins. It was the second straight year the Mules upset a Blue Jay team ranked in the top 10.

Courtney DeAngelis October 14: Muhlenberg ends skid, tops Swarthmore
The Mules brought their three-game losing streak to a halt in a big way, defeating Swarthmore 4-1 at home. Sophomore Courtney DeAngelis (right) recorded her first career assist on the game-winning goal.

October 10: McDaniel hands Mules shutout loss
The Mules were blanked at home by McDaniel, 3-0.

October 9: Mules walk to fight blindness
The Mules recently participated in the Philadelphia VisionWalk.

October 8: Muhlenberg among the best in Division III
Muhlenberg shows up in the Division III statistical leaders.

Brittany DeAngelis October 7: Mules lose to No. 4 Ursinus
One of the top-scoring teams in Division III, Ursinus put in three goals in each half and beat Muhlenberg, 6-1. Sophomore Brittany DeAngelis (left) made a pair of defensive saves.

October 2: Streak snapped at four
Muhlenberg fell into an early 2-0 hole and had its winning streak stopped at four with a 2-1 loss to Dickinson.

Kristen Sabia September 30: Familiar story for Mules
For the second time in 13 days, junior Jess Kasza scored the game-winning goal with less than 75 seconds to play, this one giving Muhlenberg a 2-1 win at Haverford. Senior Kristen Sabia (right) assisted on the winner.

Kiara Santana September 25: Muhlenberg again goes down to the wire
The Mules defeated Widener 2-1 in another game decided in the closing minutes. A shot by freshman Kiara Santana (left) set up the game-winning goal with 2:06 to play.

September 24: Scotty Wood Stadium gets new scoreboard
The 11-year-old scoreboard at Scotty Wood Stadium was replaced this week.

Shelby Smith September 23: Mules shut out Moravian
Muhlenberg posted its second straight shutout on the road, defeating Moravian 2-0. Sophomore Shelby Smith (right) made a key defensive save early in the second half to keep the Greyhounds off the board.

Jess Kasza September 18: Muhlenberg wins in dramatic fashion again
The Mules pulled off another dramatic victory, defeating Washington 1-0. Junior Jess Kasza (left) scored the game winner off a penalty corner with 1:11 remaining.
