short of the
school record this fall.
The Mules won their first eight games to climb to No. 7 in the Division
III poll, the highest ranking since 1996 for a Muhlenberg team in any
sport. The strong start included a Muhlenberg Invitational championship
and wins over 19th-ranked Susquehanna and No. 9 Montclair State.
The team cooled off in the tough Centennial Conference season, losing four
one-goal games on the way to a 12-7 record, 4-6 in CC play.
Junior Kristen Bruschi broke the
school career scoring record, finishing
the season with 99 points. She tied her
own record with 19 goals in a
season and notched 42 points, two shy of her school-record 2002 total. The
two-time All-South Region selection needs just one goal to tie the
Berg
career mark.

Senior co-captain Danielle Kline netted
a hat trick in the teams final game, a 6-1 win at Bryn Mawr.

Like Bruschi, senior Lauren Jacobs was selected to the All-CC second team.
She led the Mules with five assists and finished her career with 15, one
assist short of the school career record.
Freshman Lauren Schram played every minute in goal and recorded six
shutouts. Sophomore Alexa Sterbinsky was second on the team with six goals
and 15 points.
