Wednesday, March 15
BASEBALL Muhlenberg 11, Lebanon Valley 5. Junior Michael Cirillo drove in a career-high four runs and junior Tim Haberbusch pitched eight innings of seven-hit ball to lead Muhlenberg past Lebanon Valley in its home opener. Cirillo drove in runs on an infield out in the second, an infield hit in the third and a two-run double in the eighth. Senior Chris Moraitis knocked in three runs, one on the first of three consecutive two-out RBI singles in the third, and senior Chuck Draper hit a two-run single in the fourth. Haberbusch walked one, struck out three and allowed only one run in lowering his ERA to 1.95. Click here for box score.
WOMEN’S TENNIS Muhlenberg 8, Kutztown 1. Junior Kerri Waldowski, sophomore Kristen DiLorenzo and freshman Samantha Evans were all double winners as Muhlenberg opened its spring season with a win against Division II Kutztown. Waldowski won at first singles and first doubles. Click here for box score.
MEN’S TENNIS Muhlenberg 4, Albright 3. The lower half of the singles lineup secured the win in the Mules' first match of the spring season. After sweeping doubles, Muhlenberg got wins by freshmen Cameron Parke and Matt Fleissig and junior Mike McCormick at fourth, fifth and sixth singles, respectively. Parke and Fleissig also were doubles winners. Click here for box score.

Thursday, March 16
LACROSSE Muhlenberg 23, Kean 9. In its first game after graduating two of its top five all-time leading scorers, Muhlenberg had two players set scoring records en route to a mighty impressive season-opening win. Junior Miruna Lovin set school records with 9 goals and 11 points, toppling the previous marks of 8 and 10. Lynsey Caldwell scored 7 goals, the most ever by a Mule freshman, in her first career game. Junior Kerry Lambert added 4 goals. The 23 goals were the most scored by Muhlenberg in 13 years, and the 14-goal margin of victory was the biggest in seven seasons. Freshman Sarah Bowman picked up 9 ground balls, one short of the school record, in her first career game. Click here for box score.

Friday, March 17
SOFTBALL Muhlenberg 10, Chowan 2; Virginia Wesleyan 12, Muhlenberg 3. The Mules split a pair of games on the first day of Salisbury State's Sea Gull Invitational, which had its schedule adjusted due to bad weather. In the first game, Muhlenberg broke open a 5-2 game in the fifth when consecutive two-out hits by freshman Kelly Berg, senior Cristina Genna and sophomore Liz Kostelnick (a double) plated four runs. Kostelnick finished 3-for-4 with three RBI, while Berg had three hits and scored three runs. Freshman Meghan Woods also had three hits. The Mules held a 2-1 lead through three innings of the second game but could not hold on. Click here for box scores.

Saturday, March 18
SOFTBALL Wilkes 1, Muhlenberg 0; Cabrini 5, Muhlenberg 1. The Mules finished 1-3 at the Sea Gull Invitational, with two of their losses coming to teams (Virginia Wesleyan and Cabrini) that tied for first place by going 4-0 in the tourney. Senior Heather Dreby was the hard-luck loser to Wilkes, as she allowed only five hits. But one of them was a sixth-inning home run. Freshman Kelly Berg singled twice for 'Berg. An RBI single by senior Christine Biechy was one of three Muhlenberg hits in the nightcap. Click here for box scores.
BASEBALL York (Pa.) 13, Muhlenberg 2. The Mules jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the first, but the rest of the game belonged to the Spartans. Senior Chuck Draper doubled in the first to set the school records for career doubles (25) and extra-base hits (47). He also scored, tying the standard for career runs scored (97). Junior Marcus Mattielli had two singles, made a great catch in right field and threw out a runner at home plate. Click here for box score.
LACROSSE Hartwick 14, Muhlenberg 7. Muhlenberg trailed 4-2 late in the first half, but Hartwick scored four consecutive goals en route to the win. Junior Miruna Lovin recorded her second straight hat trick with three goals. Click here for box score.
