Western Maryland (4-2) went 2-2 at Salisburys Sea Gull Invitational, dropping games to Moravian and nationally ranked Cabrini ... Dickinson opened its season with a 3-2 win against 2001 NCAA Tournament participant York ... Gettysburg went a perfect 5-0 in Myrtle Beach, S.C. ... Washington swept Husson to finish its Florida trip 2-4 ... Franklin & Marshall (7-5) was swept by Elizabethtown ... Ursinus is 5-4-1.
Haverford (6-5) went 5-2 in Florida, stealing 11 bases in one game against Roger Williams and swiping 13 in a sweep of Skidmore ... Washington (7-3-1) went undefeated in its final six Florida games ... Johns Hopkins (5-2) beat Robert Morris, 27-7, in its Florida opener, scoring 14 runs in one inning ... Franklin & Marshall (8-4) has won six of its last seven, with its lone loss coming to Division I Lafayette ... Western Maryland (4-1) kicked off its Florida swing by sweeping FDU-Madison (1-0) and Keene State (7-4) ... Ursinus fell to 5-8 after getting swept by Alvernia in two one-run extra-inning games ... Gettysburg is 5-3.
In games involving two nationally ranked teams, No. 15 Franklin & Marshall (3-1) upset No. 13 Washington & Lee, 13-8, and No. 6 Gettysburg (3-1) was upset by No. 14 Ithaca, 10-9 ... Ursinus (2-0) validated its No. 9 ranking by pounding Western Maryland (2-1), 21-7, in its CC opener ... Washington (1-2) lost to No. 7 William Smith, 19-8 ... Dickinson dropped its opener to Susquehanna, 17-5.
The seventh-ranked Washington men defeated No. 10 Averett, 5-2. In that match, the Shoremens top singles player knocked off the top-ranked singles player in Division III ... The Dickinson men won fourth through sixth singles and swept the doubles to nip Franklin & Marshall, 4-3 ... Ursinus christened its new home tennis courts by sweeping Western Maryland, 6-1 for the men and 8-1 for the women ... The Washington women (5-1 with the only loss to No. 12 Rhodes) are ranked 12th in the Atlantic South Region.

Womens tennis wins opener: Freshman Emily Oster and sophomore
Sarah Niebler each dropped only two games while winning in singles and
doubles as the Muhlenberg womens tennis team opened its 2002 season
with an 8-1 win against local Division II rival Kutztown. Click here for box score.
LESKO A FIRST-TEAM ALL-AMERICAN Senior forward Mark Lesko of the Muhlenberg mens basketball team has been named a first-team All-American by the National Association of Basketball Coaches.
Lesko was the top vote-getter on the Middle Atlantic Region
The All-America selection caps a season that saw Lesko honored frequently after averaging 19.0 points and 9.8 rebounds per game while shooting 59.1 percent from the field and leading the Mules to a 19-6 record and the Centennial Conference East Division championship. He was a finalist for The Jostens Trophy as Division III player of the year, CC player of the year, a unanimous first-team All-CC selection, d3hoops.com first-team All-Region, Lehigh Valley player of the year, three-time CC player of the week and the MVP of Whittiers Purple & Gold Classic. Lesko, who also led Muhlenberg in blocked shots (55) and steals (42), finished his career as the eighth all-time leading scorer in team history with 1,399 points and the career leader in blocked shots (165).
